  • Trunnion-Mounted Ball: The spherical ball is supported by upper (stem-connected) and lower trunnions, eliminating axial movement under high pressure. This design reduces seat wear and ensures stable operation in large-diameter (≥4") or high-pressure (≥Class 600) systems.
  • Floating Seats with Spring Loading: Two spring-loaded seats (upstream/downstream) press against the ball, maintaining a tight seal even as pressure fluctuates. Seats are available in PTFE (for general service) or metal-to-metal (for high-temperature/high-abrasion applications).

Feature

Compliance & Benefit

Fire-Safe Design

Meets API 607/API 6FA standards: Metal backup seats prevent leakage during fire, ensuring safety in hydrocarbon service.

Anti-Blowout Stem

Stem is mechanically retained to prevent ejection under pressure, per API 6D’s safety requirements.

Low-Torque Operation

Hardened trunnion bearings and self-lubricating seats reduce friction, enabling easy actuation (manual, gear, or actuator-driven).

Bubble-Tight Shutoff

API 598 Class VI leakage rating (≤0.1 cc/min) for critical isolation in oil, gas, or chemical pipelines.

Corrosion Resistance

Materials: Carbon steel (WCB), 316L stainless steel, or duplex/super duplex stainless steel (for sour service, NACE MR0175 compliant).
